Viewing manuscripts in the Library

Manuscripts can be consulted in the Library in person with a valid Library membership which permits access special Collection Materials.

You can book a place and pre-order manuscripts by submitting this form, which can be found along other information here.

When in the Library, you may take photographs of authorised materials consulted in the Manuscripts Reading Room for non-commercial research and private study only. Please note that general photography (e.g. of people, locations and reading rooms) is not permitted.

Digital copies 

To order digital copies of manuscripts, please request copies or images . The Libraries Digital Content Unit is in charge of this service and will reply to your request with a quote. Please also consult this site for pricing and permission to publish.
